Join us as a Category Manager at our Head Office, where you’ll play a key role in shaping and executing category strategies, driving growth, and making your mark on the FMCG landscape.
We are looking for a CATEGORY MANAGER to fulfill a position in our Head Office
Main responsibilities:
Category Strategy & Execution
• Define long-term category potential based on shopper and market insights.
• Develop and implement Perfect Store concepts and execution standards across key retail and Horeca clusters.
• Translate category strategies into channel- and customer-specific value offers (in collaboration with Key Account and Trade Marketing teams).
• Co-develop customer plans and execute category management projects as part of the yearly strategic planning process.
• Support portfolio optimization, monitor distribution gaps, and recommend improvements by channel and key account.
• Contribute to new product development and innovation planning by delivering relevant shopper and category insights.
• Drive local promotional effectiveness in collaboration with key stakeholders to improve promotional ROI.
Data & Tools
• Analyze and interpret data from platforms including:

Nielsen (market trends & performance)
-
Dunnhumby (Tesco shopper data)
-
DAS (SPAR insights)
-
Spaceman (planogram creation)
-
Focus (leaflet and promo tracking)
• Create regular and ad-hoc insight-based reports and presentations to support internal teams and retailer cooperation.
Budget Management
• Coordinate the Category Management & Insights budget for the HU market.
Communication
• Represent the Category Management function in internal and external meetings.
• Own and communicate Perfect Store guidelines across retail and Horeca teams.
Education:
• University degree (preferably in Business, Marketing, Economics or related field)
Years of experience:
• Minimum 5 years in Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, or Insights roles within FMCG, preferably at mid-management level.
Language skills:
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
Technical and professional skills:
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
• Hands-on experience with Nielsen, dunnhumby, DAS, Spaceman, Focus.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent project management and prioritization abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Proactive, self-driven mindset with adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Driving license (Category B)
